Recognising Your Success: Launch of Cork Company of the Year Awards 2019
 
 
Entries are now open for the Cork Company of the Year Awards. Run by Cork Chamber in association with Vodafone, the prestigious Awards, now in their 21st year, celebrate the achievements of the best of Cork business, from emerging start-ups to SME’s to large indigenous and multinational organisations.
 
Entrants will be judged by an experienced panel of business leaders chaired by John Higgins, EY partner, who meticulously review each application across three phases. Winners in each category along with the Overall Cork Company of the Year will be announced at the Cork Chamber Annual Dinner in February, 2019.
 
At the launch of the Awards, previous entrants highlighted the rigour of the judging process and the extensive media profile for finalists as valuable reasons for companies to enter the awards and celebrate the success of teams.  
 
Sean Gayer, VP Operations at Boston Scientific, winner of the Overall Cork Company of the Year 2018, said “The awards were a fantastic process to go through and to have won is real recognition for the entire Boston Scientific team at Model Farm Road who have inspired business excellence in our community.  Holding this title for 2018 is regarded as one of our greatest achievements considering the standard and calibre of all finalists involved.”

The four award categories for 2019 are:
 
  1. Emerging Cork Company of the Year (less than 3 years in business)
  2. Cork SME Company of the Year (less than 50 employees)
  3. Cork Large Company of the Year (50-200 employees)
  4. Cork Corporate of the Year (more than 200 employees)
