THE FUTURE OF WORK – INTRODUCING YOUR NEW WORKPLACE ASSISTANT!
-National Business Machines brings the Future of Work Forum to Cork-

Technology is consistently transforming the experience of how people work and one Irish company in particular is determined to take advantage of this rapidly changing world. In an effort to fuel expansion and offer greater service for new and existing customers, National Business Machines will embark on a roadshow over the course of September, hosting the Cork leg of this roadshow at Republic of Work on Tuesday 18th September. This ‘Future of Work Forum’ will showcase the latest range and technology of Xerox machines and the countless advantages this new printer technology will bring to the workplace.

Founded in 1985 NBM is one of the first Xerox Concessionaires to set up in Europe and are proud to have grown to become the largest Irish Concessionaire. The partnership between Xerox and NBM has developed over the past 33 years resulting in the delivery of a strong value proposition for their customers. Their hardware range extends from small desktop printers and MFP's to large production print equipment, while their Workplace Solutions business continues to expand year on year with demands for automation, mobility and security increasing in all sectors.

The NBM ‘Future of Work Forum’, which is free to attend, will include presentations by Xerox experts, live demonstrations and networking opportunities. These upcoming events will present a unique opportunity for individuals and professionals to connect with each other and to learn about new world-class technologies.

The featured technologies at these events are from the recently-launched Xerox ConnectKey portfolio of new Xerox AltaLink and Xerox VersaLink multifunction devices and their associated ConnectKey apps, which can improve workplace productivity by automating everyday office tasks. Xerox printers are giving people the freedom to solve problems, be more sustainable, productive and take on new challenges within the workplace and beyond, and the ‘Future of Work’ forum delves into this by showcasing and explaining in detail the many benefits of the brand and its products.

An important factor that will be addressed is the cost-effectiveness of Xerox and how its products can reduce yearly expenditure. Through the introduction of print management solutions, a business can reduce overall print costs by more than 20 percent, simply by eliminating pages left at the device. Aside from money saving measures, print management solutions also improve an individual’s ability to work on the move, without compromising on security. For example, while mobile workflows make printing and printer access simple on phones, tablets, desktops, laptops and Chromebook, additional printer usage information and user authentication options provide enhanced security and control.
The forum will also touch on important product information for customers, such as the new features of  Xerox® Workplace Suite v5.0 and Xerox® Workplace Cloud v5.0.

Speaking in advance of this Cork event, Michael Galvin, Managing Director of NBM, said:  “In terms of technology, developments are now occurring at such a fast pace that it is so important for us to move with the times and always stay one step ahead of ourselves when it comes to adaptability and what we have to offer to our customer base. The beauty of this new digital age is that we can arm ourselves with products and apps that contribute to the successful running of a business through the provision of print management solutions. These apps turn multifunction printers into true workplace assistants and are proving invaluable to both small and large businesses.”

He added: “The entire NBM team has gone above and beyond to ensure that the upcoming forums will meet and exceed the expectations of those joining us on the day. We view these events as a wonderful opportunity for us to showcase not only our continuous hard work and impressive offering, but also as a way to give back to our customers. No matter what your business or background, I would invite and encourage you to attend and to get an inside look into the ‘future of work’!”

The upcoming event has required immense preparation and planning but promises a glimpse into the future of digital work to see how you can drive change by transforming the way you do business. The future is a connected, virtual, mobile, digital and physical world. Be ready for it.

The NBM ‘Future of Work Forum’ takes place from 10:30am to 4pm on Tuesday 18th September at Republic of Work, Cork. Register your attendance for free through the NBM website, nbm.ie.  Refreshments will be served throughout the day.
