Cork Chamber to Initiate Sustainable Recovery Programme

As Cork prepares to reopen society and business in the coming weeks and months, Cork Chamber is initiating a cohesive programme that will support a sustainable and considered approach to recovery.
The Sustainable Cork Programme will comprise a cross section of activities and will be representative of the colourful and vibrant business community that gives Cork its inimitable pulse. Through sector focussed workshops and best practice research, the programme will utilise the best of ideas and initiatives as set out by business leaders and stakeholders to best position Cork to deliver an action plan for a safe and resilient future.
Commenting on the announcement Paula Cogan, President of Cork Chamber said:
“The business community of Cork has worked diligently to ensure that the current pandemic does not strengthen it’s hold. The dramatic changes have not been easy and have caused anxiety uncertainty among our members across the city and county. All has changed utterly.
At Cork Chamber, we are initiating a comprehensive new Sustainable Cork Programme which specifically tailors our activities to support our members in building a culture of safety, confidence and trust during these unforeseen circumstances. The Sustainable Cork Programme will harness the knowledge and insights of the people and businesses of Cork.”

Commenting further on the Chamber’s role in supporting the Cork business community, Paula Cogan said
“We promise to play our part and to leave a bright and resilient legacy that future generations will be proud of.  We must be agile and energised. We must retain our vision for the future and use the crisis to find new ways to work and thrive as a community. By working together now, we can build a thoughtful, sustainable and resilient Cork inspired by our shared experience and passion.”
