37th Evening Echo Women’s Mini Marathon - Sunday, September 16 at 1pm Cork
The 37th Evening Echo Women’s Mini Marathon will take place on Sunday, September 16 at 1pm.
Munster’s Premier Women’s Road Race is run over six kilometres, starting on the Centre Park Road, and taking in The Marina, Blackrock Village, Ballintemple, Maryville, Monahan Road and finishing in Kennedy Park.

Organisers are expecting thousands to attend the event from participants to supporters. Around 200 elite athletes take part in the event every year — Olympians Sonia O’Sullivan, Lizzie Lee and Michelle Finn are all past winners of the race. Runners and walkers take part to achieve a personal fitness goal, or to raise funds for their chosen charity. More than 200 charities were represented in last year’s race, raising thousands of euro for very worthy local, national and international causes.

The event will be chipped/timed and a new Junior Entry Fee for ages 8-16 has been introduced this year to encourage families to participate and get fit together.

Registration is still open online at www.eveningecho.ie/minimarathon and at the Race Office in Debenhams, Patrick’s St. Late entries will be accepted on race day for €20 at the Registration Desk which will be located on Mill Road, off Victoria Road from 10:30am.
