Holy Smoke BBQ Restaurant Brings in the Second Taste of Cork to Satisfy Overwhelming Demand

***Recommended by Taste Cork, Failte Ireland, and Ireland’s Ancient East***

To follow the success of its first event, Holy Smoke BBQ restaurant is proud to announce the second edition of the Taste of Cork, unique food and craft beer tasting experience, that is scheduled for August, 29.

During the event, guests get to indulge in a six-course feast of exquisite BBQ dishes, served and presented by internationally-renowned chefs and pitmasters, John Relihan and Decky Walsh. All dishes are prepared with the 100% local meat that is cooked in Holy Smoke’s signature barbecue-style, low and slow, for four to sixteen hours. The dishes are then carefully paired with a selection of craft beers from Cork’s microbreweries and a range of best Irish whiskeys from local distilleries. Combined with fascinating walkthrough talks from food and beer expert Caroline Hennessy and Irish Whiskey Ambassador Gerard Garland, as well as in-depth insights into the art of low-and-slow BBQ from Holy Smoke’s chefs, the ‘Taste of Cork’ presents a memorable and authentic experience for both local and international guests.

Holy Smoke is housed in the original Woodford Bourne Cellars est. 1875, which at one time would carry over 50,000 gallons of choice Cork and Dublin whiskeys, French Cognac, Jamaican Rum, and casks of wines, sherries, and ports, making it a perfect historic destination for this authentic gourmet experience.
Taste of Cork is recommended by Taste Cork, Failte Ireland, and Ireland’s Ancient East, and is promised to become a regular event.

The tickets for the Taste of Cork are available for purchase through the Eventbrite platform and start at €49 pp as a limited Early Bird offer: https://tasteofcorkaugust29.eventbrite.com
